LEAVIN' TRAIN

Photobucket

Una pieza de country fantasmal from the very heart of the woods. En la versión de ensayo aquí incluida (picar en el link aquí abajo) hay varios cambios con respecto a la letra original, incluida la amputación completa de una de las estrofas. Cosas de la fontanería interna de las bandas, ese necesario oficio de chinos.

LEAVIN' TRAIN

You can kill me tonight
& tomorrow you’ll just find
an open grave,
some empty cans of beer
and a fading silouette

I’m not a ghost
I’m not a vampire
Now that you’ve touched me
you know I’m bone & flesh
I’m not a ghost
I’m not a vampire
I’m just a leaving train

You can kill me tonight, yeah,
but that’s all that you can take.
Can pass your blade across my heart.
Won't be enough to ease my pain.

Cause I’m not a ghost
And I’m not a vampire
Now that you’ve touched me
you know I’m bone & flesh
I’m not a ghost
I’m not a vampire
I’m just a leaving train

Now the days of deception
are just a memory
but deception remains
for the days that will be.
You never choose companions
You never choose companions
Even when you’re blessed
whith a good dog or a son...
Both things I keep on working on

One of this days they will find me
on a ditch.
Heavens will provide that
proper wake,
with the cricket rhyme & twilight choir
& the last wish of an owl...
To forget me will be easy
as you forget the snow.

Cause I’m not a ghost
& I’m not a vampire
but I’ll be back for you
when summer’s done again
I’m not a ghost
I’m not a vampire
I’m just a leaving train

  1. El Taller de las ideas os saluda. En nuestra próxima reunión sideral valoraremos la posibilidad de comprar un ticket para este leaving train.
